Here come the good news about the health of Nicholas Fairall, the American jumper fell disastrously in Bischofshofen on January 5 and considered at risk paralysis.

The American had lost sensitivity & agrave; leg and had been operated on 'urgent immediately after the fall. The 'intervention & egrave; successful, but on January 14 the head Austrian Tiroler Tageszeitung wrote that the conditions had worsened Fairall and most likely would have to spend the rest of his life on a wheelchair.
This information was denied by the race director Walter Hofer of FIS and 16 January the American federation had released an official statement in which he explained that the conditions of the jumper were stable, but could not be transferred because of injuries.
Today & egrave; heard that the 'athlete of New Hampshire has returned to the United States. According to the German website specializing skispringen.com Fairall conditions have improved and, despite still ahead of s & egrave; a long rehabilitation, the feared paralysis & egrave; now "unlikely".
