HISTORY The capital of Sør-Trøndelag has made its entry in the maximum circuit calendar in 1991, but it has become a fixture only after hosting the World Cup in 1997. However, it has lost its status in 2004, since 2005 to 2011 has rarely hosted top-level competitions.
The ancient capital of Norway is back with consistency in the program of the World Cup in 2012. It will compete in Granasen Ski Center, whose Large Hill was built at the beginning of years' 90's before being completely renovated in 2008 assuming the '' current shape (K124 - HS140).
On it so far have been held 23 individual competitions of the first level, 22 are applied to the crystal sphere to which is added the world championship of 1997.
Trondheim also is bidding to host the World Cup in 2021, but being defeated by Oberstdorf. In the intentions of the organizing committee nominated should therefore be launched to get the edition of 2023.
The plant is a veritable no man's land since yesterday rose more than 19 athletes on the top step of the podium. Among them only four have repeated a success.
