Poland's historic victory in the team event of Klingenthal

Today in Klingenthal has staged the first competition in season teams, ended with a landmark victory for Poland. On the day of the 39th birthday of Adam Malysz, the team of Piotr Zyla, Kamil Stoch, Dawid Kubacki and Maciej Kot won for the first time in history the top spot in a team event.

All members of the quartet have conducted a very convincing race, especially Kot and Stoch showed respectively the 1st and 2nd score. The day was triumphant, in fact, already at the end of the first series the boys coached by Stefan Horngacher were in the lead, then finished with a 41.5 points margin over Germany. The Teutonic quartet, consisting of Markus Eisenbichler, Andreas Wellinger, Richard Freitag and Severin Freund, carried out a regular and consistent evidence, albeit without acute. The Germans prevailed on Austria after the last jump, preceding them of only 9/10. Therefore closed the podium Rot-Weiß-Rot team, with good performance by Stefan Kraft and Andreas Kofler. Instead Michael Hayböck and manuel fettner have had a bit more difficult, sull''atterraggio in the first run for the 'athlete dell''Alta Austria, while the Tyrolean did not find a good fit in the decisive jump because of a problem with a attack. Fourth position for Norway, although very detached from the podium (over 60 points), where he shone only Daniel Andre Tande. Just behind Slovenia with a Domen Prevc banner of ups and downs. Were the fewest of Prevc brothers alternated the disappointing performance of the first set, where it landed at 125 m, to the exceptional of the second, where it is pushed up to 145 m (with a differential of 20 m!). Good test for the Czech Republic (6 ^), with young Stursa Vojtech and Tomas Vancura increasingly convincing. Disappointing in Japan, who led a very subdued race ended in 7th place. Appointment for tomorrow with the individual race, scheduled at 15.00. KLINGENTHAL - TEAM EVENT1. POLAND (Zyla, Stoch, Kubacki, Kot) 1128.72.
