In Oberstdorf the ski jumping is practiced since 1909, but the Schattenbergschanze (which takes its name from Mount Schattenberg, at whose feet & egrave; built) & egrave; was erected at the end of World War II, in 1946.
Over the years the trampoline & egrave; was completely renovated pi & ugrave; times, and took over the 'current conformation (K125 / HS137) con- tains all of the twenty-first century, precisely in 2003, when it was renovated in the World Championships in 2005.
In 24 occasions (38.7%) who & egrave; imposed in the Allgäu you & egrave; then won success in Tourn & egrave; and, while in 52 cases (83.9%) the final victory & egrave; went to an athlete on the podium.
So far 49 different jumpers representing 11 different countries (including the dead Czechoslovakia, East Germany, West Germany and the Soviet Union) received at least one success in the stage of Oberstdorf.
The Germans Dieter Thoma (1988, 1989, 1996) and Martin Schmitt (1998, 1999, 2000) are the only athletes to have won three times and, of course, Schmitt & egrave; the only one to boast a-row of three consecutive statements.

Despite the races dispustate are 62, 63 are accredited successes. This is because & eacute; competition held in December 1956 & egrave; tie was won by the Finns and Kallakorpi Kirjonen.In 13 occasions the same nation & egrave; managed to achieve two goals by placing two athletes in the first two positions. In 3 cases & egrave; been monopolized l & rsquo; entire podium: In December 1954 from Finland. Aulis Kallakorpi preceded Silvenoinen and Kirjonen, seconds tie. In December 1972 by East Germany with Rainer Schmidt in front of Hans-Georg Aschenbach and Henry Gla & szlig ;. In December 2011 dall''Austria. Gregor Schlierenzauer was imposed on Andreas Kofler and Thomas Morgenstern.
