Once the German stages of Oberstdorf and Garmisch-Partenkirchen have been archived and with the race in Innsbruck at the gates (qualification will take place tomorrow), let's take a look at the ranking of the 69th edition of the Vierschanzentournée.

At the halfway point the leader of the classification is the Norwegian Halvor Egner Granerud who, after the fourth place in the first race, obtained the place of honor in the very classic at the beginning of the year in Garmisch. The World Cup leader has a clear 4-point margin against Karl Geiger. However, two Poles are still in the running for the conquest of the golden eagle: Kamil Stoch and Dawid Kubacki.
Poland has won three of the last four editions of the Four Hills Tour and will have two wild cards to play in the two Austrian stages. Kamil Stoch is third in the standings 6.7 points behind the tread, while Dawid Kubacki, who looked doomed after the Oberstdorf race, resoundingly returned to the top with a super performance and is now just 8.6 points behind.
The Garmisch race, however, also issued verdicts in the negative. Stefan Kraft has abandoned all dreams of victory by finishing 28th and is now 14th in the standings. Step back also for Markus Eisenbichler, who is now fifth but with 23.5 points to recover.
