Short track: Azzurri ready for the second stage of CdM in Salt Lake City, qualifying off on Friday

Pietro Sighel leads the national team, fresh from the good debut in Montréal: inside Tommaso Dotti and Chiara Betti in place of Yuri Confortola and Katia Filippi.

After the first stage of the World Cup has been filed with two podiums, the Italian short track national team is back on the ice for the second round of the maximum circuit, scheduled for Friday (with the qualifications of the various races and the relays) to Sunday in Salt Lake City. At the Utah Olympic Oval in the US city, the Azzurri will present themselves with renewed ambitions, starting with those of Pietro Sighel who, in the absence of Arianna Fontana and Martina Valpecina, will be the team's flagship after the great 3rd place in the 500 meters of Montréal : the technical director of the national teams, Kenan Gouadec, assisted by coaches Nicola Rodigari and Derrick Campbell, will lead 12 athletes with two changes compared to the Canadian tests, as Tommaso Dotti will make their seasonal debut, taking over from Yuri Confortola, and Chiara Betti in place of Katia Filippi. On the ice of Salt Lake City also Nicole Botter Gomez (Fiamme Oro), Elisa Confortola (Fiamme Oro), Gloria Ioriatti (Fiamme Oro), Arianna Sighel (Fiamme Oro), Arianna Valcepina (Fiamme Gialle), Mattia Antonioli (CS Army), Andrea Cassinelli (Fiamme Gialle), Thomas Nadalini (Fiamme Oro) and Luca Spechenhauser (C.S. Carabinieri).
