Skeleton, the Altenberg World Cup ends again with Germany, blue pairs 8th and 9th

Double gold for Hermann and Grotheer, who triumph in the team event. After the bronze 12 months ago, far podium for Margaglio-Bagnis and Crippa-Gaspari.

The magic of Altenberg that led to the historic bronze of the last edition of the world championships with Margaglio and Gaspari, now divided into the two relays, is not repeated. And so the world skeleton review, on the Saxony track, ends with the eighth position of the best of the blue crews, composed of Valentina Margaglio, who commits too many imperfections in his descent, and Amedeo Bagnis, who disputes a not perfect run but more than satisfactory, while the other couple made up of Alessia Crippa and the best of the blues competing today, Mattia Gaspari (fifth part time), finished ninth. The victory goes to Tina Hermann and Christopher Grotheer, who replicate the success of yesterday's individual races and with two clean descents and with few smears precede the other Teutonic duo formed by the reigning champions in this format, namely Jaqueline Loelling and Alexander Gassner , with the latter recovering in the final stretch but not enough to undermine his compatriots from the top step. With this affirmation, the string of German victories continues, no less than six, in all skeleton competition formats at the world championships. Podium completed by the Russian team composed of Elena Nikitina and Aleksandr Tretiakov, and all the athletes present on the podium today replicate, perhaps by changing the metal, a medal won in the individual test.
