The bobsleigh and skeleton World Cup finals will not be held in Yanqing (location that will be the venue for the 2022 Olympic luge, bobsleigh and skeleton competitions): this is the decision taken by the IBSF today.
The Chinese stage, therefore, has been rescheduled in Innsbruck and will go down from 24 to 31 January 2021. The international federation took the opportunity to thank the Austrian organizers, who immediately made themselves available to host a new stage of World Cup. The Skeleton Europe Cup races and the Intercontinental Cup, initially scheduled for the dates that will host the World Cup, have been postponed to February 15, 2021.
In all likelihood, as it will be for most of the disciplines that have not been able to compete in pre-Olympic events on Chinese soil due to problems due to the restrictions in force, tests will be carried out on the race tracks next autumn to arrive well prepared for the appointment. Olympic 2022.
