In the Dolomite setting of Cortina d''Ampezzo, the Italian push championships for bobsleighs and skeletons were staged, with practically all the big blues competing. In the four-man bobsleigh, the victory went to the great favorite, Patrick Baumgartner in crew with Eric Fantazzini, Robert Mircea and Lorenzo Bilotti (G.S. Fiamme Azzurre) for a clear success against teammates Mattia Variola, Jose Obou, Mauro Colantoni and Fabio Batti.
Third position for the four of the Bob Club Cortina led by Enrico Ghilardini, with Matteo Perin, Fabio Camattari and Riccardo Ragazzi. In the two-man bobsleigh, Mattia Variola and Jose Obou (G.S. Fiamme Azzurre) won the Italian flag thanks to a total time of 9 ”64, overtaking the Carabinieri couple made up of Robert Mircea and Eric Fantazzini, just 2 cents behind. Third place to the duo of the C.S. Army, Alex Verginer and Alex Pagnini, with a gap of 21 cents.
In the women's skeleton, Valentina Margaglio (G.S. Fiamme Azzurre) confirms the predictions of the eve by winning the title thanks to a 10 ”19 test. Second Alessandra Fumagalli (C.S. Army) really close with 10 ”21 and third Alessia Gatti (Bob Club Cristallo), 37 cents from the winner.
Marvin Morasca (A.S.D. Bob Club Cristallo) took home the victory of the men's title in 9 "34, leaving behind Pietro Drovanti (Bob Club Cortina) and Gabriele Marenchino (A.S.D. Valle Antigorio), respectively for 0" 11 and 0 "15 .
