Valentina Margaglio leads the Italy of skeleton in Altenberg, a new stage for sleds in Sochi

The blue calls for the new World Cup weekend: after the first historic podium of Igls, the Piedmontese tries again on the German gut.

The Luge World Cup on artificial slope remains in Sochi, for the third stage of the maximum circuit and the second in a row on the Russian slope. Nourished the blue team, looking for redemption after last weekend without podiums, with the technical director Armin Zoeggeler who will lead fifteen athletes: we are talking about Dominik Fischnaller, Leon Felderer, Patrick Rastner, Ivan Nagler, Kevin Fischnaller, Ludwig Rieder, Simon Kainzwaldner, Lukas Gufler, Emanuel Rieder, Fabian Malleier, Andrea Voetter, Sandra Robatscher, Nina Zoeggeler, Verena Hofer and Marion Oberhofer. The program in Sochi will start on Friday 3 December, at 6.00 Italian time, with the Nations Cup, useful for defining the definitive list of athletes who will participate in the competitions of the following days. It will then continue on the morning of Saturday 4 with the men's double and single, scheduled for 7.30 and 11.30 respectively. The women's single and the three sprint races will conclude the appointment on the Russian ice on Sunday. Instead, he moves to Germany, to tackle the demanding Altenberg track, the highest skeleton circuit. The Italian national team clearly arrives galvanized by the first, historic podium in CdM that Valentina Margaglio gave with the Igls company. The 28-year-old from Alessandria will lead the Italian team in the races scheduled for Friday 3 December, also made up of Mattia Gaspari, Amedeo Bagnis and Alessia Crippa. Over the weekend there are also two European Cup and two Intercontinental Cup races - with our Manuel Schwaerzer and Alessandra Fumagalli - both in the Austrian town of Igls.
