The technical director of the Italian national luge team, Armin Zoeggeler, has decided to convene the men's and women's World Cup groups for a week full of training, engaged from Monday 22 to Saturday 27 August in Maranza, to continue the preparation for the 2022/23 season.
Present were Emanuel Rieder, Leon Felderer, Simon Kainzwaldner, Ludwig Rieder, Lukas Gufler, Fabian Malleier, Ivan Nagler, Patrick Rastner, Sandra Robatscher, Nina Zoeggeler, Marion Oberhofer, Verena Hofer and Andrea Voetter. The technical staff that will follow the athletes will be composed of Zoeggeler himself, assisted by Kurt Brugger, Mattias Schnitzer, Tatjana Hufner, Jan Wallnofer and Julia Hauser.
In the same South Tyrolean location, however, 9 boys from the junior / young team will also work for four days (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday): the players called up are Lukas Peccei, Philipp Brunner, Leon Haselrieder, Alex Gufler, Manuel Wessensteiner, Katharina Kofler, Alexandra Oberstolz, Annalena Huber and Nadia Falkensteiner. The group will be followed by technicians Klaus Kofler, Christian Oberstolz and Gunther Taschler.
