Azzurri on their way to Sigulda: the restart of the Luge World Cup on 7-8 January

There will be 14 national standard bearers engaged in Latvia: Dominik Fischnaller and the double Voetter/Oberhofer lead Armin Zoeggeler's squadron.

The Italian luge team on an artificial track is ready to resume its run in the World Cup. The technical director Armin Zoeggler, in fact, has summoned fourteen athletes for the races of 7-8 January in Sigulda. Dominik Fischnaller, Simon Kainzwaldner, Ivan Nagler, Leon Felderer, Emanuel Rieder, Ludwig Rieder, Lukas Gufler, Fabian Malleier, Patrick Rastner, Nina Zoeggeler, Marion Oberhofer, Sandra Robatscher, Verena Hofer and Andrea Voetter will be protagonists on the Latvian gut. Team Italia started the season very well, thanks to the numerous podiums collected by Dominik Fischnaller - two victories in Park City and two third places between Whistler and Igls, so much so that he jumped to the top of the general classification - and by the duo Voetter/Oberhofer, among the first three in each competition this season with the booty of two successes, two second and a third place and, also in this case, the primacy in the ranking of the women's doubles World Cup, in its historic first edition.
