Dominik Fischnaller in full swing for the World Cup. And now everyone in Sochi: Zoeggeler's choices

The blue sled leader leads the patrol of twelve athletes to the world championships. From Friday 14 February, the three days of world championship races will start.

Dominik Fischnaller is still in full swing to take home the World Cup single, in a season of sledding that sees the South Tyrolean champion only 61 points away from Roman Repilov when there are two stages to go. Last weekend a bit of everything happened in Oberhof, due to the weather conditions and the very high humidity that made the race a real lottery, with Johannes Ludwig coming out victorious recovering from 24th place, to overcome the Russian Pavlichenko and the Latvian Kivlenieks. Fischnaller finished ninth, just behind the Russian rival for the crystal ball, thus losing only 3 points on a track theoretically unfavorable to the Italian leader. In the double again Germany with the success of Wendl-Artl, ahead of the Sics brothers and Geueke-Gamm, with the blue couples formed by Nagler-Malleier and Rieder-Kainzwaldner who finished in fifth and eighth positions respectively. Now, however, it is already time to think about the world championships on the horizon: today the national technical director, Armin Zoeggeler, has issued the calls choosing 12 athletes for the world championship scheduled in Sochi from 14 to 16 February (the 10 will already begin training sessions). Dominik Fischnaller leads a group that also proposes Andrea Voetter, Verena Hofer, Ivan Nagler, Emanuel Rieder, Nina Zoeggeler, Patrick Rastner, Simon Kainzwaldner, Marion Oberhofer, Fabian Malleier, Ludwig Rieder and Kevin Fischnaller.
