It's the great blue final in Val Passiria with Lanthaler and Pigneter triumphing in the team event

Luge World Cup on natural track, another Italian victory in the third and final day of competitions. Kammerlander is repeated in the men's single, with Pigneter himself still on the podium.

A great blue finale for the classic CdM stage in Val Passiria, which hosted three days of great competitions for the top luge circuit on a natural track. And Italy, as expected, made the leading voice, even if the domination of the blue squadron was only scratched by the immense class of Thomas Kammerlander: the Austrian champion repeated himself today in the second single race , ahead of compatriot Michael Schenkl by 67 cents and home idol Patrick Pigneter, third at 1 ”09 and always on the podium in the first four races of the season. Fourth instead Alex Gruber, while Stefan Federer is seventh and Florian Clara ninth. The general classification two tests from the conclusion sees Schenkl in the lead with 355 points, ahead of Pigneter with 310 and Gruber with 260. The excellent balance of the Italian team was completed by the team test that concluded the program, literally dominated by Evelin Lanthaler (already triumphant in the two single races) and by Patrick Pigneter himself. The Austrians Tina Nterberger and Thomas Kammerlander were behind by 56 cents, while the Russians Ekaterina Lawrentjeva and Gregory Bukin finished in third place at 1 ”66 from the two Azzurri.
