The blue sledding army: 43 athletes in the national teams for the 2021/2022 season

The choices of the technical director Armin Zoeggeler, with the Fischnaller cousins and the doubles teams aiming for the Olympics. For the natural sled the usual squadron in search of victories and cups.

The FISI has formalized the national teams as regards the disciplines of sledding, with a view to the 2021/22 season. A total of 43 athletes have been chosen by the director Armin Zoeggeler, with the artificial track specialists who will obviously focus above all on the Beijing Olympic Games. Team A formed by cousins Dominik and Kevin Fischnaller, as well as Leon Felderer, Lukas Gufler and the various doubles specialists, with Simon Kainzwaldner, Patrick Rastner, Ivan Nagler, Fabian Malleier, Emanuel and Ludwig Rieder. Among the women, the main formation includes the returning Sandra Robatscher, together with Verena Hofer, Sandra Voetter, Nina Zoeggeler and Marion Oberhofer. The compositions of the junior teams: Alex Gufler, Lukas Peccei, Annalisa Huber, Nadia Falkensteiner, Hannah Niederkofler, and the “Giovani” one with Matthias Moling, Leon Haselrieder, Philipp Brunner, Manuel Weissensteiner, Alexandra Oberstolz, Lara Peccei and Katharina Sofie Kofler. NATURAL SLEDGING The national teams have also been announced as regards natural sledding, where Italy is back from another amazing year. Evelin Lanthaler, winner of the World Cup again, leads a team with 16 athletes divided into two groups: the South Tyrolean champion is in team A with Greta Pinggera, Daniela Mittermair and Nadine Staffler, while among the men we find Florian Clara, Alex Gruber, Stefan Federer, Patrick Pigneter, Mathias Troger and Matthias and Patrick Lambacher. In team B, Maximilian Graeber, Fabian Brunner, Daniel Gruber, Florian Haselrieder and Laurin Jakob Kompatscher.
