The German women's sled team confirms the expectations of the eve by placing three athletes on the podium of Igls. Julia Taubitz gets her tenth victory in the World Cup, just behind her Natilie Geisenberger and Dajana Eitberger, author of a good comeback in the second heat from fifth to third position.
The best of the blue is Andrea Voetter, who loses a position with respect to the first fraction and closes ninth; good 10th place instead for the daughter of art Nina Zoeggeler. The other two girls of the Italian team, Verena Hofer and Marion Oberhofer, finished thirteenth and sixteenth respectively.
Yesterday the Austrian couple Steu / Koeller won the first seasonal race of the men's doubles, which got the better of their compatriots Mueller / Frauscher, the podium completed by the German duo Eggert / Benecken.
For Italy a good performance in terms of quantity: three pairs placed in the top seven positions, but none on the podium. The best were Ludwig Rieder and Patrick Rastner (5th place), authors of a good second heat, sixth instead Emanuel Rieder and Simon Kainzwaldner, who made too many mistakes in the second heat, moving back from second to sixth place; 7th place for Ivan Nagler and Fabian Malleier.
