The President of the Valle Community, Guido Redolfi, has asked the President of the Province, Maurizio Fugatti, to close the Val di Sole ski lifts to counter the coronavirus emergency.
“I think of our doctors and nurses who have been on the line for days now. I think of the protection and respect they deserve for what they do every day, at every hour of the day "are the words of the President of the Province, Guido Redolfi, reported in the newspaper Adige.
The municipal administrations of Cavizzana, Caldes, Terolas, Rabbi, Malè, Croviana, Dimaro Folgarida, Commezzadura, Mezzana, Pellizzano, Ossana, Pejo and Vermiglio also request the stop of the plants.
As reported by the letter written by Guido Ridolfi to Maurizio Fugatti, the request is based on a health motivation to protect our communities but also to protect our economic heritage represented by our guests and our customers from all over Europe.
What is most surprising today is the Adamello Ski Pontedilegno-Tonale ski area. Here the lifts on the Lombard side are all closed to avoid the spread of the coronavirus, while those on the Trentino side are open.
In the meantime, these days, the carabinieri are on the slopes to check compliance with the rules such as the safety distance of one meter and the crowds, not only in the queue of the ski lifts, but also in the shelters that are often full of people.
