The Bernina red train for almost 2 km to enter the Guinness Book of Records.
The Rhaetian Railway, which manages the network of connections in the Canton of Grisons, including the section between Tirano and St. Moritz, on Saturday afternoon gave a record show with a narrow-gauge passenger train with 100 carriages and 25 railcars.
The convoy of 1906 meters and over 3000 tons traveled the 25 kilometers in the mountains, between Preda and Alvaneu, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The most spectacular moment was the passage over the famous bridge of the Landwasser viaduct, near Filisur, along the Albula line. In Bergün, where a real railway festival was organized, 3000 people gathered to watch the world record attempt, also broadcast live by Blick TV, whose images are shot on many foreign channels.
