No World Cup in the Swedish town: the skyrocketing costs for expensive energy forced the organizers to ask the FIS to be canceled.

It is a problem that, unfortunately, risks repeating itself on several occasions, as has already happened, for example, with the stage of the Ski Cross World Cup that should have been held in Alleghe.
The emergency for energy costs was the trigger for the cancellation of the second round of the maximum big air circuit, which should have been held at the end of November in Falun. After 12 years, it would have been a first time for Sweden, but it will not be the same as the FIS has already made official by removing the stage from the calendar.
At SVT Sport, Stefan Karlsson (sports director of the freestyle and snowboard sector in the Swedish federation) said that “we have to take a step back, a certain number of millions are missing and, while seeking the support of the FIS and our own association, the gap between what we have been able to keep and what is missing to set up the event with this emergency, it is really too big ".
The Big Air World Cup, it should be remembered, will start next week with the first race on the Swiss snows of Chur (Coira), on Friday 21 October.
