The freestyle season at home in Italy: Bertagna and Welponer at the top in a year reduced to the bone

In the big air, Silvia finished fifth in the general with a podium, Ralph 18th with three top 15. And in the ski cross there are Siegmar Klotz and Lucrezia Fantelli.

A season reduced to the bone for freestyle specialists, but still positive enough for the blue bearers engaged in the World Cup. The reference at the big air level is clearly Silvia Bertagna who, in a calendar with only three stages staged, managed to take a podium in Beijing and finish 5th in the final specialty classification. Ralph Welponer also did well, with the South Tyrolean engaged in both slopestyle and big air: in the second case three top 15 arrived (with 10th place in Modena in the grand opening of the Skipass) and 18th place in the standings . At the level of skicross, however, no high point for Siegmar Klotz, the sector reference for Italy who had to settle for 12th place in Montafon as the best result. In the women's field, the year of the young Lucrezia Fantelli was very good: the 23-year-old from Trentino won the European Cup, with two successes and five overall podiums, in a circuit where Leonardo Donaggio, a 17-year-old Venetian with a certain talent, instead triumphed in the big air category.
