Leonardo Donaggio leads the national team towards the first World Cup race, scheduled on the Swiss snow: Elisa Nakab, René Monteleone and Moritz Happacher have also been called up for their absolute debut in the maximum circuit.

The winter disciplines season begins, with four Azzurri protagonists of the big air CdM race, as regards freeskiing, which will precede the opening of alpine skiing in Soelden by a few hours. Friday evening, in fact, starting at 20.00 here is the classic appointment in Chur (Coira), with the freestyle specialists on the track and an Italian national team, led by the technical director Bartolomeo Pala and the sector manager Valentino Mori, who will count on a poker of athletes and a leader like Leonardo Donaggio, close to the podium at the last Olympic Games. Together with the 19-year-old Venetian, other quality youngsters will also be at the start of big air in Switzerland such as René Monteleone and Moritz Happacher, the latter at his debut in the World Cup, and for the women's competition Elisa Nakab, in the first year in which the blue team will have to do without Silvia Bertagna, who retired from competition and sixth last year in Chur.
