New Zealand is preparing for the winter season with some news

The New Zealand ski areas are preparing for the ski season thanks also to the heavy snowfalls of the last few days which guarantee excellent conditions.

The first '' ski area to open will be Happy Valley on June 5, in Whakapapa, the largest ski area in New Zealand with 24 black runs. This is an area suitable for beginners who start their first turns on skis. The other slopes in the area will open on 3 July. On 11 June, however, Mt Hutt will open where there will be a new eight-seater chairlift, the Nor West Express, which will reach the top station in just 2 minutes, compared to the 7 minutes of the old lift, and will be able to carry up to 3000 people 'Now. The plant was built by the Leitner Ropeways company. The season will begin in Cardrona on 12 June. Here, in the Soho area, there will be a new four-seater chairlift, the Willows Basin, which will take skiers to the top in just over 5 minutes and can carry up to 1500 people per hour and will give access to a new ski area. 65 hectares with intermediate level slopes. In the future, other ski lifts are planned in the Soho area, including the main Soho Express chairlift. Coronet Peak will open on June 19, where night skiing will also be possible, while The Remarkables and Treble Cone will open on June 26.
