It's called Coronet Peak and is one of the main ski resorts in New Zealand, located in the Otago region, in the southeastern part of the South Island, 18 km from Quennstown 1649 meters high above sea level. The main feature of Coronet Peak is the snowmaking system by which the ski area has received the award in the past established Engineering Award for the project "Coronet Peak ski area snowmaking infrastructure and resorvoirs." With 124 fan guns and 78 spears, represents the largest snowmaking system in the Southern Hemisphere.

Slopes suitable for all types of skiers: the Big Easy for beginners, M1, Greengates shirtfront and for those with a mid-level skiing, and Drop Exchange and the Back Bowls for the more experienced.
Coronet Peak, in addition to being a popular ski resort in New Zealand, it is also home to several sporting events such as the Australia New Zealand Continental Cup, involving the champions of World Cup skiing and the Winter Games New Zealand that this & rsquo ; year will be held August 15 to 25.
