The technical director of the Italian national team, Stefano Bendetti, will be able to count on the most important Italian representatives of the discipline, for a team made up of Robert Antonioli, Matteo Eydallin, Michele Boscacci, Nadir Maguet, Nicolò Canclini, Alex Oberbacher, Federico Nicolini, Davide Magnini, Damiano Lenzi, Alba De Silvestro, Mara Martini, Giulia Murada, Ilaria Veronese, Giovanni Rossi, Matteo Sostizzo, Samantha Bertolina, Pietro Festini Purlan, Rocco Baldini, Luca Tomasoni, Marco Salvadori, Silvia Berra, Elena Nicolini, Erika Sanelli, Katia Mascherona, Lisa Moreschini, Manuela Pedrana, Simone Murada, Sebastian Guichardaz and Noemi Junod. A 2021/22 season that saw the Azzurri great protagonists on the maximum circuit with a total of 14 podiums, including the victories of Davide Magnini - in the individual housewife in Val Martello - and Michele Boscacci, in the same specialty but on the slopes of La Massana, in Andorra. Boscacci is also leading the general classification on the eve of the last stage, with 709 points against the 667 of the French Thibault Anselmet and the 641 of the Spanish Oriol Cardona Coll.
