Snowboard cross World Cup: Friday from 10.30 the first of the two appointments on the Aosta Valley snow, with Visintin leading the blue men's team and Belingheri and Carpano ahead in the women's race which sees the British as the great favourite.

Omar Visintin, already on the podium in the opening a couple of weeks ago, finished 9th ahead of Lorenzo Sommariva, 16th time trial, but Filippo Ferrari also made it by a hair's breadth (29th, Michele Godino (30th) and Niccolò Colturi, 32nd. Among women, dominance in qualifying by Charlotte Bankes, forced to miss the Les Deux Alpes race and called to take advantage, in this double appointment in the Aosta Valley, of the absence of Michela Moioli, as known still in the pits due to back problems . There will be two Italians at the start of the quarterfinals, namely Caterina Carpano, 12th today, and Sofia Belingheri (13th), they didn't make it back instead, Raffaella Brutto 18th and Francesca Gallina, 24th.
