The first two races, the giant women's and men's parallel, of alpine snowboarding at the World Championships in Park City, have been satisfying for Italy.

Let's start with the Azzurri: Roland Fischnaller and Daniele Bagozza, eighteenth and nineteenth, were out in qualifying. Only Edwin Coratti passes the first round, the round of 16, beating the Austrian Alexander Payer, come out Aaron March, who surrenders to the Slovenian Zan Kosir, and Nadya Ochner, the only blue in the race, who has the worst against the Russian Natalya Soboleva Coratti goes out in the quarterfinals not finishing his test against the Russian Dmitry Loginov. Italy therefore without medals, the Azzurri will try to make up for tomorrow in the parallel slalom.
The gold in the women's race has won the German Selina Joerg, Olympic silver at PyeongChang 2018 behind the Czech absent Ester Ledecka, today Selina beat Soboleva in the final, while in the bronze one the Swiss Ladina Jenny has had the best on the other Russian Milena Bykova. In the men's race Russia wins gold with 19-year-old (from two days) Loginov thanks to the unfinished trial by the Slovenian Tim Mastnak, bronze is the prerogative of the German Stefan Baumeister who has beaten the United States of Russia double Olympic champion in Sochi 2014 Vic Wild.
