Italy dreams of the inclusion of the PSL in the Olympic program from Milan-Cortina: in FIS we work on it

For the 2026 Games, there could be the possibility of adding another individual match in a specialty in which the Azzurri have always made sparks.

Cesare Pisoni will find himself, during the next season, having to make very painful decisions in terms of exclusions from his squadron that he will field at the next Winter Olympic Games in Beijing. On the other hand, the blue national snowboard team led by the Bergamo dt is simply the best in the world and, with only four Olympic cards for the parallel giant on the Chinese snows, one would think that it is a shame to have to leave athletes who could easily play for medals. As reported by insidethegames.biz, there is an important possibility in the Milan-Cortina perspective: for the Italian Olympics of 2026, in fact, the snowboard sub-commission, within the FIS, is pushing for the inclusion of the parallel slalom as second individual competition at the Games. On the other hand, the PSL is now on a permanent basis between the World Cup and the World Cup, with Italy dominating in recent years, just think of the three crystal balls conquered by Roland Fischnaller (in addition to the world title in specialty in 2015) and the last one by Aaron March, who joined the general cup with the parallel slalom cup. A stimulus also for the veterans of the blue tables to arrive incredibly up to the 2026 Games? Who knows, certainly we need to overcome the obstacle of the IOC executive committee, which has yet to finalize the program for Milan-Cortina and is committed to maintaining the maximum quota of 2900 athletes, but at the same time provides for the inclusion of new events if they do not require additional competition venues. The PSL of snowboarding, in this sense, would be perfect.
