Skipass hosted the big air show, with snowboard champions battling it out for the second consecutive year as part of the winter sports event that will end on Sunday, when the trampoline set up in the outdoor area will go on stage the finals for freestyle skiing.
Even Italy was the protagonist of a great evening, with Nicola Liviero who took a great sixth place in the men's event which saw Canada dominate. The victory went to the very young (class 2000) Nicolas Laframboise, to the first success in the World Cup (it was only his seventh race ever) and able to bend compatriot Mark McMorris with 4.50 points behind him. In third place, leader of the ranking of CdM, the American Chris Corning.
The Azzurri had lost in qualifying Emiliano Lauzi, who stopped in 8th place in the second heat, with Loris Framarin not having gone beyond 20th place in the first, while an injury had deprived Emil Zulian's team, ko in training for a bad fall cost the 22-year-old Trentino a head and facial trauma, with a small fracture to the nasal septum. After his resignation from the hospital, fortunately, Zulian was already at the parterre celebrating comrade Liviero for the excellent result obtained.
In the women's race, the Japanese Reira Iwabuchi, who literally defeated the competition, has set herself, overcoming the Canadian Brooke Voigt and the Olympic champion of PyeongChang 2018, the Austrian Anna Gasser.
