A special gondola, among those dedicated to the ski champions who triumphed in speed races on the Streif, such as Beat Feuz and Vincent Kriechmayr last season.
Together with the two-time world champion in Cortina 2021, winner of the super-g last January at the end of the 81st edition of the Hahnenkamm-Rennen, last weekend the Kitzbuehel temple awarded a unique recognition to Lisa Theresa Hauser, the 27-year-old native biathlete from the Tyrolean town. Yes, because in the history of the Kitzbuehler Ski Club that organizes the event of the year, all the athletes who grew up in that reality have the honor of receiving a personalized gondola in case of success at the world championships or at the Olympics in their respective disciplines.
Fresh from the best season of his career, Hauser won the world title in Pokljuka 2021 in the mass start; nicely, the Austrian champion talked about her relationship with skiing, trusting that "she is perhaps the only town in Kitz that does not know how to ski". Skis tight on the feet and rifle on the shoulder has written history and now his country has celebrated it among the greats of world skiing.
