Doping: acquittal in court of appeal for Taschler

Yesterday the Court of Appeal of Trento ruled the full acquittal for Gottlieb Taschler, Daniel Taschler and Michele Ferrari.

The three were involved in a doping investigation, initiated by the prosecutor of Padua, relating to events that occurred between 2010 and 2011. According to the ruling of the leaders, the fact does not exist. In June of last year the Cassation had annulled the sentence of the Appeal Court of Bolzano that had condemned the ex ct of blue biathlon to a year of imprisonment, his son Daniel at nine months and the doctor Michele Ferrari at one year and six months for guilt. The cancellation was due to doubts about the legitimacy of the wiretaps that had caught the three. Yesterday, therefore, the appeal process was repeated at the Court of Trento and the judges pronounced the full acquittal of the defendants. The reason for the sentence will be known in 90 days.
