A career that could already be called legendary after the two (individual) world titles won on the slopes of home in Anterselva, but which can now only take on an even greater dimension following the second consecutive triumph in the World Cup.
Dorothea Wierer is in the history of the blue biathlon and more generally of the winter disciplines in Italy, the only one ever to ring two absolute crystal balls in twelve months. A palmares, that of the South Tyrolean champion, who becomes extraordinary and who only lacks a piece: the Olympic gold, which can and must become the goal thinking of the Beijing 2022 Games.
In reality, Doro herself does not worry about it and thinks year after year, without making long-term plans: “The future? I will see in the spring, but there are physical and motivations ... ", reiterated the blue after the Kontiolahti feat.
And now, on the shelves of his home in Val di Fiemme, in addition to the two general World Cups there are three specialty cups (in addition to that of the mass start conquered this year, the 2016 individual and the cup of the '' chase 2019), with only the sprint missing from the collection, ten medals at the world championships, with the three individual golds added to four silvers and three bronzes, and those two Olympic gems in the mixed relay, with the double bronze of Sochi 2014 and PyeongChang 2018.
After a good bit of rest, you can only start planning a future that, even at 30, still has some good chapters to write.
