Dorothea Wierer, Lisa Vittozzi, Federica Sanfilippo, Nicole Gontier, Michela Carrara and Irene Lardschneider for the women's sector, with Dominik Windisch, Lukas Hofer, Thomas Bormolini, Thierry Chenal, Daniele Cappellari and Saverio Zini to form the men's team.
These are the twelve players called up for Italbiathlon for the world championships in Antholz, which will start on February 13th with the mixed relay and preceded on the evening of the 12th by the opening ceremony. There are therefore no particular surprises in the choices of the director Fabrizio Curtaz, a few hours after the conclusion of the Obertilliach meeting. Giuseppe Montello was unable to recover in good condition, out of the shoulder injury suffered in the inaugural stage of the World Cup in Oestersund, just as Alexia Runggaldier remains outside in favor of the young Carrara and Lardschneider.
After the inaugural mixed race, the world program includes the two sprints on Friday 14 and Saturday 15, with the double chase on Sunday 16 and the restart with the individual teams (18 and 19 February). The single mixed on February 20 will precede the grand finale with the relay and the two mass start on Sunday 23.
