The Biathlon World Cup will restart on Friday with the Sprints of the first German stage. Sanfilippo confirmed alongside Wierer, Vittozzi and Comola.

With the postponement of 24 hours compared to the original program, in Oberhof everything is almost ready for the first challenges of 2022 for the great CdM biathlon. The technical director Fabrizio Curtaz has called up eight athletes, confirming Federica Sanfilippo after the excellent return to Le Grand Bornand, in women's poker completed by Samuela Comola and the two leaders Dorothea Wierer and Lisa Vittozzi. Four men also competing on the German snows: without Lukas Hofer, who gave up the first stage of the new year to recover better after a difficult start to the season, Dominik Windisch returns to the maximum circuit, who has regained the podium in the IBU Cup , with Thomas Bormolini and the young Didier Bionaz and Tommaso Giacomel to complete the team. The start on Friday with both Sprint races (men at 11.30 am, women at 2.30 pm), followed on Saturday 8 by the relay races and on Sunday by the Pursuit tests.
