Martin Fourcade will be one of the protagonists of the BlinkFestivalen, to begin with the right foot a 2019/2020 season in which to try to recover the scepter that an extraordinary Johannes Thingnes Boe seems to have taken away from him.
After seven consecutive World Cups, the transalpine champion will have to find extra resources to beat the great Norwegian rival, but he certainly won't lack the motivations to cancel a decidedly understated vintage, at least compared to his standards; among the innovations that await him, the 30-year-old Pyrenean will host the biathlon world in exactly one month, on the weekend of August 31-September 1, with the first edition of the Martin Fourcade Nordic Festival which, in that of Annecy, will announces as one of the most anticipated events of the summer.
"I'm here at BlinkFestivalen to have fun and try to win already, between Friday and Saturday - the words of Fourcade released to the Norwegian broadcaster NRK - I'm fine, although this year I started training calmly. I feel I am growing in shape and above all I am looking forward to starting again at a competitive level after so many months â€.
Last season's disappointments will have to serve, to get back in front of everyone: "I tried to understand what didn't work, now I'm totally focused on getting back to my highest level in winter and back to the position I like. So far everything has gone well in the preparation and I'm sure I can make it the way I want, it only needs to work at its best ".
