Double appointment for the maximum biathlon circuit, starting from November 28th, in Kontiolahti before Hochfilzen: we want to limit travel to a minimum.

An expected change that has officially arrived today, two months after the start of the biathlon season.
The 2020/21 World Cup also undergoes substantial changes, due to the pandemic emergency situation that led the IBU to choose to group the stages of the maximum circuit as much as possible to limit the movement of athletes and staff, competing between November and December only in two locations instead of four, while maintaining the same racing program.
Hence the Oestersund and Le Grand Bornand appointments officially skip, which would have followed respectively the stages of Kontiolahti and Hochfilzen; it will then compete twice in Finland (from 28 November, with the men's and women's Individuals to open before the Sprint, until 6 December), and then from 11 to 20 December with the double in the Austrian location.
