The Russian biathlon federation announced the names of the athletes who take part in the stage of the World Cup in Antholz. Expected heavy turnover in the men, while women are not announced defections of weight.

Among men Evgeny Ustyugov, Dmitry Malyshko, and Alexey Volkov not compete in South Tyrol instead going to do an internship training. Moreover Malyshko said he disagreed with the decision of the coaching staff and that he would rather compete at Antholz.
Basically the only big are committed Anton Shipulin, always at ease in the Tyrolean'' system, Garanichev Evgeny and Alexander Loginov. They will be joined Alexey Slepov, Timofey Lapshin, Andrei Makoveev, Ivan Tcherezov and Maxim Tsvetkov.
According to rumors all be confirmed in the relay race on Sunday could be deployed Lapshin, Slepov, Makoveev and Tcherezov. Therefore there should be a sort of "Russia-B".
In the women's game instead of the six athletes will be seen in Ruhpolding to which will be added Galina Nechkasova and Anastasia Zagoruiko. At least one of the two should find a place in the sprint as it is expected that Yana Romanova only participate in the relay.
