New preparation block for the national blue biathlon: a week in Austria for the girls, there will be no Linda Zingerle who broke her fibula and will have to stay in the pits for a month.

Technical director Klaus Hoellrigl has chosen Livigno as the venue for a week-long gathering of the Milano Cortina 2026 women's team. The athletes will be engaged from Sunday 25 September to Saturday 1 October: in Alta Valtellina there will be Hannah Auchentaller, Michela Carrara, Samuela Comola, Eleonora Fauner, Rebecca Passler and Beatrice Trabucchi. Lisa Vittozzi will also be present with them, while the group led by technicians Alexander Inderst, Jonne Kahkonen, Mirco Romanin and Edoardo Mezzaro will not be able to count on Linda Zingerle. The young South Tyrolean, in fact, has suffered a distal fracture of the right fibula in recent days: subjected to surgery, the daughter of art will resume activity in about a month. Dorothea Wierer will instead be engaged in training in Ramsau, from Sunday 25 September until Sunday 9 October, joining again the men's team that will count on Tommaso Giacomel, Didier Bionaz, Patrick Braunhofer, Daniele Cappellari, Daniele Fauner, Cedric Christille, Iacopo Leonesio, Michele Molinari and David Zingerle. The pool of technicians composed of Andrea Zattoni, Riccardo Romani, Daniele Piller Roner, Fabio Cianciana and Arturo Epis will coordinate the work.
