All set for the start of the biathlon season: in Oestersund a national team in full force.

Italy of dreams, fresh from the best season ever, ready to confirm itself at the top of the world biathlon movement. This is the mission of the group directed by Fabrizio Curtaz, who will start again from that Oestersund which, on March 17th, saw Dorothea Wierer and Dominik Windisch sign the best day in the history of the Azzurri, with the double world title in the mass start . The Swedish town will host the opening of the World Cup, starting from Saturday 30 November, for which the national team will field, at the female level, the same Wierer who holds the absolute crystal ball, a Lisa Vittozzi who, after the second place of the last year, it has already started all during the various approach races, Federica Sanfilippo and Nicole Gontier. Five men in the race: with Windisch, here is Lukas Hofer, Thomas Bormolini, Daniele Cappellari and Giuseppe Montello. Via Saturday 30 with the relays, then on Sunday the two sprints that will assign the first points for the individual Cup standings, and will start again on Wednesday 4 December with the individual and grand finale of the long stage in Scandinavia, Saturday 7 and Sunday 8, with the classic relays. It will be the week of the start of the season also for the 'Ibu Cup, with an appointment set in Sjusjoen: in Norway, double sprint Thursday 28 and Saturday 30 November, then the pursuits Sunday 1 December. For Italy, Saverio Zini, Thierry Chenal, Patrick Braunhofer, Michela Carrara, Alexia Runggaldier and Irene Lardschneider were called.
