The IBSF court of appeal has taken a decision that may represent a turning point in the area of sanctions imposed on Russia at a sporting level.

An important news for the entire sports movement, not only for the winter disciplines.
It concerns Russia and the sanctions which, since the war in Ukraine began in late February, have led virtually all world federations to follow the advice of the IOC to ban Russian and Belarusian teams and athletes from any international event.
As reported by "Inside the Games", the decision to cancel the temporary suspension of the Russian bobsleigh federation, decided by executive committee of the same international bobsleigh and skeleton federation.
Oleg Matytsin, Russian minister of sport, said: “This is a very significant and positive event for us and I hope that the removal of Russian athletes from participating in various international events is not long-term. We will also fight for the Olympic passes ".
Do you feel that something could change for other federations as well? Difficult to say, but according to the president of the RBF, Elena Anikina, "now we finally have the opportunity to further develop our sport - the number 1 of the Russian bobsleigh federation explained to the TASS agency - We are very satisfied with this decision" .
