Altenberg, Innsbruck and Winterberg to replace Koenigssee: here are the new appointments for bobsleigh and skeleton

We are working on the German gut to restart from the 2022/23 season: in the next, events rescheduled by the IBSF on three other tracks, with the Junior World Championships ending in Austria.

Altenberg, Innsbruck with its Igls and Winterberg track will replace the appointments of the 2021/22 season scheduled in Koenigssee. The official status came from the international bobsleigh and skeleton federation (IBSF), a few weeks after the certainty that, in the next year (with the works already active to restore the plant in view of 2022/23), it will not be possible to compete on the German gut, destroyed by the torrential rains of mid-July. Altenberg will therefore host the World Cup races scheduled for the same dates, from 3 to 5 December 2021, while the jr bobsleigh and skeleton world championships will be staged in Austria, again from 17 to 23 January 2022. The canceled skeleton events in Koenigssee will remain in Germany: we will then go back to Altenberg for the Skeleton Intercontinental Cup, integrating it into the event scheduled for the first week of January, while in Winterberg, from 16 to 20 November, the first will be held. Skeleton Europe Cup races.
