The pass for the Beijing 2022 Games is official (it will be the third time for the men's national team): the 6-5 to the Czech Republic in the playoff of the Leeuwarden Olympic pre-season was decisive.

The fantastic guys of Italcurling, capable once again of writing pages of history for this discipline that Joel Retornaz and his companions are taking higher and higher.
The men's national team will participate, for the third time in five editions, in the next Winter Olympic Games: the qualification has become such thanks to eight victories in nine matches (with the knockout at the extra end against Norway that had postponed the party) in the pre-Olympic tournament in Leeuwarden, in the Netherlands, with the match won today 6-5 against the Czech Republic already decisive in the playoff 1.
Joel Retornaz, Amos Mosaner, Sebastiano Arman, Simone Gonin and Matteo Giovanella, led by coach Claudio Pescia, repeated themselves at very high levels a few weeks after the splendid bronze at the European championships; we fly to China, therefore, with Captain Retornaz who will be the only one of the expedition to have participated in both that historic adventure in Turin 2006 and in PyeongChang 2018.
Nothing to do instead for the girls of the women's national team, who finished in fourth place.
