After the special slalom in Zagreb that inaugurated the 2021 of the Alpine Ski World Cup, Circo Bianco and Circo Rosa take two different paths. The men's circuit moves to Switzerland in Adelboden where two giants are scheduled for the weekend, Friday 8 January (first heat 10.15 and second 13.15) and Saturday 9 (first heat 10.30 and second heat 13.30) and a slalom, scheduled for Sunday 10 January with first descent at 10.30 and second at 13.30. The girls, on the other hand, will be protagonists in Sankt Anton in Tyrol, in a downhill (Saturday 9 January at 11.45) and a superg (Sunday at 11.30), while on Tuesday 12 January they will move to Flachau for the now "classic" slalom at night (1 heat at 6pm and 2 heat at 8.45pm).
Grand finale on the snows of Val di Fiemme for the Tour de Ski. The characteristic cross-country skiing stage race will come alive with the mass starts in classic technique (15km male and 10km female) scheduled for Friday 8 January, Saturday instead, space for sprinters with sprints in classic and Sunday 10 usual final climb of the Cermis who will announce the fifteenth winners in the history of the Tour de Ski.
After the Tourneè of the Four Trampolines with the success of the Polish Kamil Stoch, the Jumping World Cup continues in Germany at Titisee-Neustadt, where two individual tests are scheduled on the HS142 trampoline. Also in Germany but in Oberhof, the Biathlon World Cup starts again. The town in Thuringia that gave the Italian Lisa Vittozzi the first career successes will host the sprints on Friday 8 January followed by chases on Saturday 9, while on Sunday 10 January the mixed relay and the single mixed will be held.
The protagonists of the Snowboard World Cup return to the slopes on the snows of Scuol. In Switzerland, the very strong Italian team led by Capitan Fischnaller will be hunting for further triumphs in the two PSGs (one for men and one for women). The gut disciplines will be the protagonists on the slopes of Sigulda (luge) and Winterberg (bobsleigh and skeleton).
