Biography: Josef Ferstl, born in 1988 and son of former champion Sepp Ferstl, is a former German speed specialist in downhill and super-G. On the World Cup circuit he claimed two super-G victories, including a prestigious win in Kitzbühel in 2019, and several podiums that established him as a leader of the German speed team. He represented Germany at multiple World Championships and Olympic Winter Games, bringing the Ferstl name back to the forefront of the speed events.
