Brignone is already on the track, from today and for a few days on the snows of Zermatt (on the Swiss side of the Matterhorn, as there is no possibility of training on the Italian side), where he began a job on an individual level, followed by father Daniele and by his brother Davide.
As the FISI had already communicated at the beginning of May, at the time of formalizing the blue teams for the 2021/22 season, the Aosta Valley champion will be able to take advantage of a "dedicated program", practically training only on a few occasions, among which there would be the a trip to Argentina which, however, remains at high risk, with teammates starting from Goggia and Bassino in the famous elite group.
In the spring, Federica had continued an excellent test job, in Tignes together with her French colleagues from the Rossignol family (brand with which she then renewed, a few days ago, until the end of the 2022/23 season), and then in the blue meeting of Santa Caterina Valfurva. Today the friends of the Alpine Ski Racing Coach Corner blog joined her in Zermatt, to whom Brignone explained that he had found “good conditions to start over calmly, with those exercises that are important for balance and for the technical base”.
