There are now few World Cup level athletes who have not put their skis back on in this post-lockdown spring-summer period.
In the last hours, a certain Alice Robinson has climbed Coronet Peak, the New Zealand ski temple: first turns for the phenomenal 18-year-old who has already won twice in the World Cup between Soelden and Kranjska Gora. Just in Slovenia, last February 15, the last spectacular performance of his season in the maximum circuit, even if Alice actually competed in the European Cup on the snow of the Sarentino Valley, taking a couple of top ten in super-g, and then in the same discipline at the Narvik Junior World Championships in early March, finishing right at the foot of the podium.
There is a strong desire for Robinson to grow in speed and also in a discipline such as combined: of course, we are talking about a 2001 class, but the evolution is already traced and will also pass through the collaboration with Petra Vlhova. In the coming months, probably already in September when the Slovak champion led by Livio Magoni will prepare himself by dividing again between the Stelvio, which he left in recent days, and the Austrian Hintertux glacier, the comparison will be practically daily in training.
