Aline Danioth trains painlessly: journey into the recovery of Swiss talent

The 22-year-old girl, injured in the parallel giant of Sestriere, aims to return to skiing in August to pick up where she left off.

She was experiencing that competitive growth that everyone had predicted since the days of her youthful triumphs, once the crash to her left knee of two years ago was behind her. After the 7th place in the Lienz slalom, best result of a first part of the season with some points collected also in giant and in parallel, Aline Danioth was forced to stop with the serious injury remedied in the parallel giant of Sestriere: this time he went ko the right knee, or crusader and meniscus of the joint that will force the 22-year-old Swiss to the classic stop of 6-8 months. The recovery, as reported by the "Blick", is proceeding in a positive way: Aline is working in Andermatt, clearly with some limitations related to the quarantine and therefore remaining in contact with the physiotherapist between phone and skype. Knee pain is gone and resistance exercises are on the agenda, with the Swiss having already left crutches for five weeks. No forcing, but there is concrete hope (Covid-19 allowing ...) to put the skis back on in August, in order to have an almost complete preparation and return to a good level in the 2020/21 World Cup .
