Two days of quality on the snows of Monte Zoncolan, in the heart of Carnia.
Marta Bassino and Federica Brignone have returned to devote themselves to the giant's wide gates, but also to some parallel sessions, after in recent days, among various postponements, they had had to upset the original programs in preparation for the most important match for the national leaders in this world championship, scheduled for Thursday 18 February.
By helicopter from Cortina to Ravascletto for a couple of days, in order to comply with all anti Covid regulations (without leaving the "bubble", since they have not stayed outside the world site), today Marta and Fede explained how carried out this type of work, on a slope similar to what they will find for the giant on the Olympia delle Tofane.
“We had two good days, despite the wind, both in giant and parallel on a wet and beautiful hard track - explains Bassino - We have to thank the FISI that allowed us to move in this way. Now we will do some slalom on Sunday to get closer to the combined ”. On Monday, in fact, the Italians from Cuneo and Valle d'Aosta will be the blue ones with greater chances in their second world championship race (on Tuesday they will face the individual parallel), even if Brignone herself explains. “I still have mixed feelings in giant skiing, meanwhile let's think about Monday's race which will be very interesting and of a very high level.
I will put everything I can out on the track, knowing that it will be difficult ”.
