Blanca Fernandez Ochoa has disappeared into thin air for the past ten days, when last August 23 she left her home in the district of Aravaca, on the outskirts of Madrid.
The sister of the legendary Paco, Olympic gold in Sapporo ''72 in the slalom that entered the legend, with the Thoeni cousins behind the first Iberian champion in the history of snow (who left us in 2006, only 56 years old), is a legend of Spanish alpine skiing, if we think that in 1992, at the Albertville Games, he conquered bronze in slalom becoming the first woman of winter sports with a medal around his neck, 20 years later his brother.
Madrilena, born in 1963, also won four World Cup races (finishing 4th in the 1987/88 general), with the Vail giant in March 1985 as first success and three slalom, between Sestriere, Morzine and Lech.
Blanca Fernandez Ochoa is wanted by the national police, who in the past few hours has raised the alarm by publishing the news on her twitter profile; everything started from the complaint of her daughter Olivia Fresneda (rugby player, Ochoa also has another son, David), who saw her mother go by car, with no cell phone with her, and was no longer able to contact her (no use by the former credit card champion).
After more than a week of research without results, from that August 23rd, the national police decided to publicly announce the disappearance, with the hope of finding the star that made great Spanish skiing.
