Kronplatz officialises the return to the World Cup: everyone on the "Erta" on January 26, 2021

The organizing committee confirms the inclusion of the female giant in the 2020/21 calendar. And the blue background is extraordinary.

We will have to wait a few more weeks to have the official status on the stages of a World Cup that presents a thousand unknowns, but some certainties are already there and the return of an Italian stage that has always had great success is certainly good news for the whole movement. As expected, Kronplatz / San Vigilio di Marebbe will return on January 26, 2021 for the fourth edition of the female giant played from 2017 to 2019, before the "void" of last season when the parallel of the European Cup was held, like every year. Confirmation comes directly from the organizing committee, after the video conference meetings of these days on the occasion of the spring congress of the FIS; the "Erta" will therefore see a spectacular race on one of the most beautiful tracks on the circuit, according to the athletes themselves. And the three precedents smile all the same to the blue champions: the debut of January 24, 2017 was unforgettable, with the success of Federica Brignone in front of Tessa Worley and Marta Bassino, while on January 23, 2018 Viktoria Rebensburg prevailed on Mowinckel and the Brignone herself. Finally, the pearl of Mikaela Shiffrin, on January 15, 2019, with the American who dominated against Worley, second, and a Bassino again capable of climbing on the third step of the podium.
