Austria has again chosen Peschiera del Garda: lots of physical work for the sprinters before returning to the glaciers

Nicole Schmidhofer to lead the group, followed by a Cornelia Huetter with a great desire to put the skis back after the umpteenth injury.

The female Austrian of speed, which has literally dominated the last season of the World Cup, has once again chosen Italy and the area of Lake Garda to carry out an important physical work block in this phase of preparation. The aquilotte moved to Peschiera del Garda for a week, where in addition to the winner of the downhill crystal ball last season, and to the 26-year-old native of Graz, Tamara Tippler, Stephanie Venier and Mirjam Puchner were present, with sessions of training that included two daily blocks to improve endurance, speed, strength and coordination, as well as skill and concentration exercises. Now for Schmidhofer and her companions there are five days of skiing on the glaciers in the home, before flying to Copper Mountain, the ideal Colorado town to prepare for the Lake Louise event, which from 6 to 8 December, the season of speed will open.
